What to Pack

Jõekääru Recommended Camper Packing List (1 week) 
Please mark all clothing and personal items with camper's name. Duffel bags fit best into the storage shelves. Remember that camp days are very active and clothes should allow freedom of movement. Numbers of items are recommendations, please use your judgement when packing.

Clothing

o 1 white camp shirt (available for order or at camp office)
o 1 pair navy shorts/pants (available for order or at camp office)
o 6 shorts and t-shirts
o 8 pairs of underwear
o 6 socks
o 2 pairs long pants
o 1 long-sleeved shirt
o 1 warm sweatshirt/sweater
o 3 pairs of pyjamas (warm and cool)
o 1 light jacket
o 2 swimsuits (swim shirts optional)
o 1 set of dress clothes (incl. belt/shoes. 2 sets for week 4)
o 1 folk costume (for performance day)
o 1 raincoat, umbrella
o 2 sun hats
o 2 pairs of running shoes
o 1 pair rubber boots
o 1 pair sandals/watershoes
o 1 laundry bag

Toiletries

o 2 washcloths
o 1 hand towel
o 2 or 3 beach towels (thinner dry faster)
o toiletry case/caddy
o toothbrush and toothpaste
o cup
o hairbrush/comb
o shampoo, conditioner
o soap/shower gel
o tissues
o sunscreen (waterproof SPF 30+)
o bug repellent (DEET)
o Any medicines/vitamins to be given to camp nurse with instructions

Bedding

o 1 sleeping bag or warm blanket
o 1 pillow and pillowcase
o 1 top and bottom bedsheets (twin size)
o 1 blanket for use outdoors
o 1 foam topper for mattress (optional)

Miscellaneous

o spending money ($2-$10) to counsellor
o flashlight with spare batteries
o camera - those that are phones will have SIM card removed
o Estonian books, music, DVDs to share
o water bottle
o extra pair of prescription glasses
o life jacket for non-swimmers
o comfort items from home (family photo, stuffed animal)
o letter writing supplies (pre-addressed stamped envelopes)

Optional

o sunglasses
o swimming goggles
o sports equipment (e.g. baseball glove, tennis racket)
o books and games (deck of cards, hackey sack)
o Jõekääru songbook (available at camp office)
o musical instrument
o small backpack

ITEMS NOT TO BRING:

The following items take away from the overall camp experience and will be confiscated immediately upon discovery:
o iTouch,iPads, Tablets.
o Electronic games, DVD players or computers
o Cell phones with SIM cards, walkie talkies
o Weapons, knives, matches or lighters
o Incence, candles, mosquito coils, citronella candles
o Food or drinks
